Obituary of Martha Kolish

MARTHA KOLISH (nee RADFELDER) November 12, 1938 February 17, 2010 Martha passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the Regina Pasqua Hospital at the age of 71. She was predeceased by her parents, Wilhelm and Olga; stepmother Holdina; infant daughter Judy Joan; brothers Adolph and Amil Reschke; mother and fathers-in-law Rudolph Kolish, Olga and John Kruger; brothers-in-law Ernie, Bob and Ed Kolish; sister-in-law Fran; and nephews Don Wetton, Tom, Roger, David and Terry Kolish. Martha is survived by her husband Richard; daughter Rosemarie (Earl) Wagner, granddaughter Christina (Matt) Pope, great-grandchildren Sadie, Brooke and Colton; grandson Richard (Stephanie) Johnson; son Richard, grandchildren Christine (Sheldon), Jason and Madeliene; daughter Marylee (Tim) Rein, and grandchildren Katie and Gage. She is also survived by her siblings Erica (Brian) Brattan, Hilda (David) Spicer, Leon (Marie) Radfelder, Elsie (Mac) McMillan, and Freda (Leon) Singbel; sisters-in-law Ursula Reshke, Betty Kolish and Alice Kolish; brother-in-law Bert (Anita) Kolish; and special friend Gerda Smith; and a large extended family and many friends. Martha was born in Poland, and immigrated to Canada in 1951, where she met and later married her soul mate, Richard on July 23, 1955. They ranched at Galilee, SK until they moved to Regina in 1976. They owned a video store for a few years. Martha loved children; she was a foster parent and operated a daycare out of her home. Martha and Richard loved to travel and took trips to Germany, where she got to meet and renew friendships with extended family. The family would like to extend a Thank you to Dr. Sherman and the Nurses at the Pasqua Hospital, Unit 4A. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Celebration Lutheran Church, 3130 Renfrew Crescent East, Regina SK with Rev. Brian Smith officiating.
