Obituary of Mary Koszman

JULY 23, 1914 - FEBRUARY 18, 2010 Mary was born in 1914 in Sault Ste. Marie, and was raised on a farm in the Kennell District. She met Peter Koszman, and they married in 1934. Mary was a member of St. Basils Parish and had a life membership from UCWLC. She was also a member of St. Basils Senior Club for many years. She was a devoted worker, and loved her church. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Peter in 1987; parents, Myron and Kathryn Malowany; brothers Mike and Walter; sisters Helen, Olga and Annie; and granddaughter Kristine Koszman. She leaves to mourn her son, Mervin (Beth) Koszman of Powell River, BC; three grandchildren, Craig Koszman of Whistler, BC, Colin (Kaela) Koszman of Port Alberni, BC, and Kara Koszman of Vancouver, BC; two great-grandchildren Maya and Laeni Koszman of Port Alberni, BC; one sister, Stella Cherney of Welland, ON; sisters-in-law Louise Malowany and Stella Malowany of Craven, SK; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Divine Liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 in St. Athanasius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 55 McMurchy Avenue, Regina, SK with Rev. Andrei Kachur presiding. Interment to follow in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers most gratefully declined.
