Obituary of Warren Wilson Tunison

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our father, Warren, on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the age of 86 years. He is predeceased by his wife Margaret; father Frederick; mother Druscilla; brother Fred Jr.; son-in-law Larry Larsen. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Dianne (Ernie) Debert, Donna Larsen, Judy (Rick) Runge; sister Madeline Hantelman; sister-in-law Doreen Tunison; grandchildren Debbie (Tom) Collins, Teresa Richards, Lynn (Tim) Kehoe, Terri (Guy) Kerbrat, Len (Lisa) Larsen, Tony (Adrienne) Larsen, Aaron Runge, Colin (Amanda) Runge; great-grandchildren Ryan, Amanda, Laura Collins, Jade, Astra, Tristan Richards, Ty, Tanner Kehoe, Joseph, Krista Brooker, Josh, Renee Larsen, Tyler, Andrew Larsen, Sydney, Jaxon, Asia Runge; great-great-grandchildren Kade and Emily Collins; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Warren was born in Regina, his childhood was spent in the Wilcox area and the southern U.S.A., eventually settling with his parents in the Pitman area. He served three years in the Air Force during World War II, part of this time was served overseas working as an aircraft mechanic, returned home in 1945 to marry his sweetheart, Margaret. Together they farmed for many years on the family farm at Pitman. Travelling, square dancing, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rites Lodge and the Shrine Pipes and Drums Band were all a part of Warrens life. Upon retirement he moved to Rouleau, set up a workshop in his basement where he spent many enjoyable hours creating beautiful gifts which he gave to his family. Family was important to our Dad. He enjoyed visiting and actively participating in our lives. A celebration of Dads life will be held in Rouleau in the spring. The date and time of the celebration will be published at a later date. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to a charity of choice.
