Obituary of Myra Evelyn Victoria Brown

Born March 20, 1911 in Lumsden, Myra passed away peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at age 98. Myra is lovingly remembered by her two sons: Bob (Hazel) of Lumsden, and Ed (Marian) of Regina; three daughters: Ivadell (Edd) Schaber of Provost, AB, Kathleen (Art) Baker of Westlock, AB, and Betty (Gaylord) Newman of Beausejour, MB; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters: June Gibbs of Calgary, AB and Joan McNeice of Edmonton, AB; one sister-in-law Dorothy McNeice, and numerous nieces and nephews. Myra was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary McNeice; husband James Lawrence Brown; daughter-in-law Margaret Brown; two grandsons Lionel Brown and Mark Schaber; three brothers Tom, Jim and Bob; two sisters Grace Catley and Edna Loken (Romanoski); two sisters-in-law Myrtle McNeice and Evelyn McNeice; three brothers-in-law Wilbur Catley, Joe Romanoski and Orville Loken. A time of viewing and celebration will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2010 in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2010 in St. Andrews United Church, 115 King Street, Lumsden, SK, with Rev. Marjorie Kent officiating. Interment to follow in Lumsden Cemetery.
