Obituary of Lorena Robinson

Elizabeth Jean "Lorena" died Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Glen; parents Frank and Margaret Moore; sisters Dorothy and Marguerite; brother Wilfred; niece Carolyn. She will be greatly missed by her daughters Patricia Gorius, Wendy (Jim) Hollinger, Sharon (Mickey) Kupchyk; grandchildren Ashley, Taylor, Evan and Alexa; and niece Noreen (Al) Conyers and family. Lorena worked for many years as a book keeper accountant, with the last ten years at Speers. She retired in 1990, after which she and Glen enjoyed travelling to a variety of winter destinations. As Palm Springs snowbirds, they enjoyed shuffleboard and social activities with friends. Most recently, Lorena took pleasure in bowling and whist, and donated many hours knitting Angels 4 Warmth blanket squares. Church was important to Lorena; throughout the years, she contributed in many ways. She loved music, played the piano, and was a beautiful singer. From the age of eighteen years, Lorena had been a member of Excelsior Chapter No. 21 Order of the Eastern Star. Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 01, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. in Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Avenue, Regina with Rev. Jim Balfour officiating. Flowers gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan (279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8), the Regina Humane Society Inc. (Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7) or a charity of choice.
