Obituary of David Martin Petz

David Petz (Kipling, SK) - It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, David Petz. Dave passed away on March 15, 2010 at the age of 69. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Carol, daughter Kerri (Dave) Janotta and special granddog? Kenzie, brothers Peter (Betty-Ann), John (Dolores), Nick (Rosemarie), Jim (Anne), Steve (Joan), sisters Elsie Pugsley, Doris Hnatyshyn, Ann Davidson, Kay Brown, Margorie (Arnold) Wagner, sister in law Marlene (Guy) McLean, brother in law Bill (Jean) Smith, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Alex and Rose, brother George, sisters Mary Zitaruk and Margaret Hooper, sister in law Anne Petz, brother in laws John Zitaruk, Phil Pugsley, Bill Hnatyshyn, Gerry Hooper, Ray Davidson, as well as, father and mother in law John and Thelma Smith. Dave grew up in Shellmouth, MB, a favourite place of his, of which he had many good memories and stories to tell. Dave always enjoyed his time spent visiting with family and friends. He had a heart of gold and was always lending a helping hand. Upon his retirement as Town Administrator of Kipling, he took up many hobbies which included cooking, bike riding, gardening and beautifying the yard in which he took great pride. He holds a very special place in many hearts and will be greatly missed. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010 in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina.
