Obituary of Joyce Ann Desnomie

Born February 15, 1944 died March 21, 2010 at the age of 66 years. She is survived by her beloved husband of 28 years, Thomas Desnomie. Joyce was predeceased by her father Roy Read Willis and mother Nellie (Willis) Dean, as well as her adoptive parents Marie Arrington Stonechild and Harold George Stonechild. She was also predeceased by her mother and father-in-law Florestine and John Desnomie, as well as brother Thomas Willis, brothers-in-law Micheal Bellgarde and Leo Desnomie, and sisters-in-law Dorothy Desnomie and Beatrice Stonechild (nee Desnomie). Joyce is survived by her brothers and sisters Betty Gray, William Willis, Lawson Willis, Robert Willis, David Dean, Eddie Dean, Reuben Dean, Paul Dean, Sue Fangreen, Anna Keewatin and Brian Stonechild. Joyce is also survived by her loving children, and she has had the privilege to touch many childrens lives and welcome them into her heart and home. Ashtyn, Cynamyn, Carah, Calen, Cyan, Carrie-Ann, Katchina, Riviera, Rychel and Mason, as well as her adult children Connie Estep, James Kieth Estep, Carol (George McNabb), Troy (Wendy) Desnomie, Micheal (Sonia) Desnomie, Anita Estep, Annette Stonechild, Tonia Estep, Linda (Darwin) McNabb, William (Elizabeth) Desnomie, Cory (Viola) Desnomie, Steven (Sharon) Desnomie and Naomi (Glen) Asham, and her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for each child and especially loved her great-grandson Ethan McNabb. Joyce also had numerous nieces and nephews that she loved with all her heart. The family would like to acknowledge the friends and extended relatives that gave their love and support in this time of trial. We would also like to thank the staff at the Regina General Hospital and Pasqua Hospital, as well as a special thanks to the staff at the Balcarres Integrated Care Centre. Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday March 25, 2010 in Pesakastew School, Peepeekisis First Nation. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am. on Friday, March 26, 2010 in Pesakastew School. Interment in the Desnomie Family Cemetery.
