Obituary of Martin Arnett

Born July 16, 1921 in Herbert, Sask, he passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the age of 88 years. Martin was predeceased by his father John, mother Anne (Ambroze); brothers John, Fred, Frank, Jacob, Henry, and George; sisters Eva, Mary, Lillian and Kathleen; first wife Mary; and son Bobby. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Evelyn, daughter Gloria, son Marty Jr., three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and sister Anne. Martin really loved music, and played the clarinet from the age of 12. He played with many bands, including the Air Force in the Second World War. He also dearly loved his golf. After living in Toronto for sixty years, he moved back to Regina in 2006 because of Alzheimers. We would like to give thanks to 3-West and 1-West of Pioneer Village, for the wonderful care they gave him. A Celebration of Martins Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 12 in St. Marks Lutheran Church, 3510 Queen Street, Regina. Donations may be made, in memoriam, to the Alzheimers Society of Saskatchewan, #301-2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1, or to a charity of choice.
