Obituary of Lucile Jones

Lucile, beloved wife of James (Jim) Jones, mother of Maureen Quick, Kathleen (Kirk) Ziola and Roger Jones, grandmother of Leah Quick, Sean Ziola and Justin Ziola, sister of Isobel (Jim) Wilson and Donna (Bob) Lusted. Special friends Evan Quick and Alan Jackson were cherished by Lucile. Lucile was the daughter of Bill and Zelma Joynt who farmed in the Rouleau area for many years and who were founding members of Lakeview United Church. Lucile was a resident of Parkside Extendicare for just over two years. She died after a brief illness at Pasqua Hospital on April 21st. The family is grateful for the care at Parkside and especially for the loving care and attention in Ward 4A in her final hours at Pasqua Hospital. Lucile was trained as a laboratory technologist when the main technological instrument was a microscope. She worked for the Red Cross Blood Transfusion service and for several years was a technologist for Dr. Ken Robertson's clinic on Dewdney Avenue. For those wishing to honor her memory, donations to The Regina Humane Society, The Arthritis Society of Canada, or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Memorial service for Lucile will be held at Sunset United Church, 177 Sunset Drive at 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 25th, Minister Kathy Platt.
