Obituary of Barbara Mengel

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Mengel (nee Schwartz) on April 25, 2010 in the Palliative Care Unit, Regina Pasqua Hospital, at the age of 80 years. She was predeceased by her parents Adam and Marie Schwartz, her brother Peter and sister-in-law Marie. To cherish her memory, Anne leaves her loving husband of 56 years, Harold; son Craig (Denise) and their children Lindsay and Matt of Lamar, Missouri; son Patrick (Tanya) and their son Samuel of Regina; and her brother Adam (Tillie) of Regina, as well as many nephews and nieces. Anne will be remembered for her warm, caring heart and will be missed by many. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses and staff of Ward 3D, the Palliative Care Unit and all caregivers of the Lumsden and District Heritage Home for the kindness and care shown to Anne and family. At Annes request, there will be no funeral service held. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
