JOHN GRONA December 28, 1944 December 11, 2012 John passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Survived by his loving wife of 45 years Alice (nee Alberts); daughters Tyla (Scott) Young and grandsons Ryan and Alex, Tracy (Mike) Egan and grandson Eric, Tara (Ken) Domm and granddaughter Abbey Doodles?, and Tania (Wayne) Dansereau and grandsons Cody-John and Cole and granddaughter Melissa; sisters Ann, Mary and Ethel; brothers Metro, Bill and Victor; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Dora and John; sisters Judy and Doris; brothers Ernie and Nick; and mans best friend Baxter who died just prior to losing John. He was born in Kelvington, SK, the youngest of eleven children. He attended school in Kelvington then moved to Regina. He retired as Depot Manager after 35 years of service with John Deere Ltd. To keep himself occupied in recent years, he was a driver for Bennett Dunlop Ford. John was an avid gardener, animal lover, loved working on his tan and visiting with his family. The family would like to thank the staff at the Pasqua Hospital 3A for their compassionate care. Visitation will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina SK on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 7:00 9:00 p.m. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel on Saturday December 15, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memoriam may be made to Regina Humane Society, PO Box 3143 Stn Main, Regina, SK, S4P 3G7 or Regina Palliative Care, Unit 3A, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 1A5.
