Obituary of Minnie Braden

Mom was born Minnie Cecelia Wilk on July 21, 1932 in Goodeve, SK. She found peace on April 28, 2010. Minnie is survived by her husband of 57 years Adolph; daughter Denise Leach (Bart) and their children Greg (Carol) and son Thomas, Trevor (Joanne), Jennifer (Mackenzie), and Derek (Stephanie) and daughter Liliana; son Ralph (Cheryl) and their children Angela and Christopher; son Ron (Michelle) and their children Amy, Amanda (Tyler) and Tyler; daughter Corinne Coons (Gary) and their daughters Kelli and Randi. She is also survived by her sisters Kay Chudyk and Frances Pearce (Bob), and brothers Matt (Louise), Andy (Shirley) and Marrion and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents John and Anne, and brothers Mike, Nick, Walter, Johnny and Paul. Mom held a variety of jobs through the years and in 1990, retired from the City of Regina after 22 years. She took great pride and joy in her home and her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her life. She was surrounded by them in her passing. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m on Friday, April 30, 2010 in St. Peters Church, 100 Argyle Street, Regina. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2010 in St. Peters Church. Donations may be made, in memoriam, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 297-3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8 or the Kidney Foundation of Canada, 1545 C McAra Street, Regina, SK S4N 6H4.
