It is with great sadness that the family, friends and loved ones of Cheryl Williams of Regina, SK announce her sudden and unexpected passing. Cheryl was a Registered Nurse in the Psych Ward at the Regina General Hospital. She worked with great dedication to earn her Master of Nursing and was working towards her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing. Cheryl will be remembered as an amazing and intelligent woman with immeasurable love and compassion for the many lives that she touched. Cheryl is survived by her husband Dan Okoth of Kenya, Africa. She is predeceased by her grandparents Lydia & Howard Williams and is survived by her mother: Shirley Willams, her father: Bruce Williams (Maureen), her sisters: Michelle Williams and Nicole Bast (Ryan), her niece/goddaughter: Bailey, her Grandmother: Evelyn Beaudry, her Grandfather: Leo Beaudry, and her many good friends, especially Lionel Tancrede and Rebecca Schuler. Cheryl also adored her many aunts, uncles and cousins. Cheryl was dedicated to educating herself so that she could have as much impact as possible when it came to helping others. She took a spiritual trip to Rome and had also done work in India. She went to Africa several times not only to conduct research for her Masters, but also to work with her advisor and close friend Pammla Petrucka, doing charitable work with some of the worlds most vulnerable populations.
