Obituary of Carole June Mountstephen

June 9, 1940 May 7, 2010 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Carole June Mountstephen (Anderson) of Raymore on May 7, 2010, at the age of 69 years. She passed away peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina after a long, brave battle with cancer. Carole was predeceased by her parents Beulah and Robert Anderson, brother Bradley Anderson, nephew Robbie Trotchie, mother and father-in-law Stanley Sr. and Lillian Mountstephen. She is survived by her husband of 49 years Stan; children Rod (LeeAnn) and their son Devan (Haley), Rick (Lori) and their children Meranda and Kaibry, Lisa (Albert) Bamford and their children Kayla, Kyle and Kianna; step-mother Sarah Anderson of Warman; sisters Joyce (Ken) Fisher of Surrey, BC, Sharon (Roy) Trotchie of Biggar; sister-in-law Judy Anderson of Rosetown; brothers-in-law Cliff (Verna) Mountstephen of Medicine Hat, AB and Ed (Jean) Mountstephen of Raymore, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Carole was born June 9, 1940 in Dunblane, SK later moving to Eston, SK where she met Stan in 1960. They married on June 10, 1961. Over the years they resided in Raymore, Saskatoon, Weyburn and then finally moved to the family farm in Raymore in 1978. She loved camping, crocheting, knitting, cross-stitching, antiques and garage sales, but her special love was her grandchildren who meant the world to her. The family would like to express thanks to all the health professionals involved in Caroles care (Especially Dr. Zarkovic and staff at Pasqua Hospital, and Dr. Lim and staff at Nokomis Hospital), and a special thank you to the staff in the Pasqua Hosptial Palliative Care Unit who made Caroles last days comfortable. Flowers gratefully declined. In lieu, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina SK S4P 2R3 or to the Elks and Royal Purple Fund for Children, #100-2629 29th Avenue, Regina SK S4S 2N9. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in St. Martins Anglican Church in Raymore, SK. Interment in Raymore Cemetery.
