Obituary of Ann Liddle

Ann, late of Regina, SK passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the age of 84. Predeceased by her parents Sydney and Ada Carley; sister Joan Robertson and brother-in-law Lachlan. Ann is survived by her son Bob (Marcia) of Regina, grandson Sheldon; brother Bill (Pam) of Coventry, England; two nephews Andrew (Tanya) Carley of Rugby, England; and Sandy (Jane) Robertson of Twickenham, England. Ann was born August 6, 1925 in Castleford, England and the family moved to Auchtermuchty, Scotland at an early age. Ann learned to play piano and music was a big part of her life. She attended Bell Baxter School in Cupar, Scotland and teachers college in Dundee, Scotland. She taught in Falkland before immigrating to Regina to take a teaching position with the Regina Public School Board. She met and married John Liddle in 1955. Ann taught 26 years in Regina at Pasqua and Wascana schools before retiring in 1986. Ann was also a long time member of the Westminster Choir and the Regina Ladies Choir. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2010 in Westminster United Church, 3025 13th Avenue, Regina with Darrell Reine officiating.
