Obituary of Rudolf Carl Tank

It is with hope in the resurrection through Jesus Christ that we announce the death of Rudolf on May 19, 2010. Rudy is predeceased by his parents Albert and Margaret; a twin brother, Rowland (in infancy), and a younger sibling, Robert (at age 3). Rudy was also predeceased by foster brother Edward Tank who grew up with Rudy on his parents farm near Melville, SK. Rudy was a peaceful and loving man of faith who touched friends, relatives and strangers with his gentle spirit. We will miss him. Rudolf is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Gertrude, sons Jeff (Terri Pettit) of Regina and Phil of Saskatoon, and daughter Christine of Lethbridge, AB; three grandchildren Rachael, Leah, and Sarah; as well as numerous beloved cousins and relatives throughout Canada and the United States. The Funeral Service will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 190 Massey Road, Regina on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Sid Haugen officiating. If friends so desire, donations in remembrance can be made to Canadian Lutheran World Relief, 1080 Kingsbury Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R2P 1W5, or to a charity of your choosing.
