Obituary of Anastasia Margaret McLean

1913- 2010 Anastasia Margaret McLean passed away peacefully with family at her side at the age of 96, in Regina, on May 29, 2010. Anne was born on September 23, 1913 in Dilke. She was predeceased by her husband, William McLean in 1983, her parents Henry and Philipina Ell, and siblings Barbara (Wins) Embury, Joseph, Amelia, Alphonse (Sylvia), Albert, and John, and sister-in-law Bernadette Ell. She leaves to mourn her loss, her brothers Charles and Fred (Julia), sister-in-law Velma and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Anne will be remembered for her vegetable and flower gardens especially her sweet peas, and her "bowl of treats" at family celebrations. The family wishes to thank the staff and care-givers of Robinson Care Home and Elmview Extendicare for their compassionate care for Anne during her last years. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Christ the King R.C. Church, 3239 Garnet Street, Regina. Interment to follow at Regina Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne's memory to the Regina Humane Society, P.O. Box 3143, Regina, SK, S4P 3G7 or to a charity of your choice.
