Obituary of Donald Irving Crook

It is with immense sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Donald Crook on Monday, June 7, 2010 in Fort QuAppelle, SK. He was 76. Dad was predeceased by his wife Josephine (nee Bobyck) and brother Jimmy Douglas Crook. Left to mourn his passing are his loving son William, two sisters Dreana Hambrook and Donalda Ruggeri as well as nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Lovingly referred to as Dada? by his son, Donald was a devoted husband and father and cherished his family dearly. Donald, Josephine and William were often known to disappear,? going on long family drives in the country. It was not unheard of for them to hop in the car, and drive for miles, leaving no road untraveled within 300 kilometers of Regina. Donald and William were especially close, and without fail, always met for dinner at the Southland Mall at 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays. Dad was employed as a mechanic for 34 years, and was also Williams most faithful usher, elevator person and right-hand man at First Baptist Church. He also particularly enjoyed his 7:30 a.m. coffee at the Northgate Mall, and his presence will be missed by his friends there. Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2010 in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2010 in Speers Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dr. Mark G. McKim officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to Ducks Unlimited Canada, P.O. Box 1160, Stonewall, MB R0C 2Z0.
