Obituary of Marian Lois Metz

Marian Lois Metz went Home to be with her Lord Jesus Monday, June 7, 2010 after an extended illness. She was born July 16, 1934 in Huntington, WV to James Willard and Jessie Baumgardner Cox. After graduation from Point Pleasant High School, she lived in Akron, OH, where she was employed in the insurance business, later moving to San Jose, CA where she continued as office manager of an insurance company. Marian moved to Regina after her marriage to Gabriel Roy Metz in 1987. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church where Pastor, staff and friends were greatly loved by her, an inspiration and joy in her life. Marian was predeceased by her parents; husband Noble Cecil Oaks, son Noble Cecil Oaks Jr., and daughter Shelley Oaks. Also, husband Raymond F. Holman, sisters Edna Mae Baumgardner, Eva Kathleen Burts and brothers Gordon Lee Cox and Carl Keith Cox. She is survived by her husband Gabriel Metz; granddaughters Nicolette Anderson of Diamond Bar, CA and Stephanie Oakes; grandson Patrick Oakes; as well as sister Virginia Ida Pitt of Brandenton, FL; brothers Willard Raymond Cox of Leeds, AL and Howard Wayne Cox of Clovis, CA; special niece Patricia Ann Bennett of Capitola, CA and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends throughout the US and Canada. A Celebration of Marians Life will be observed on Friday, June 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 437 Broadway Avenue E, Regina, S4N 0Z8 with Pastor Darold Sauer officiating.
