Obituary of Margaret Stensrud

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Margaret Stensrud on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in the Pasqua Hospital at the age of 93. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her husband Arne; her daughter Laurine (Rudy) Lackhan; daughter-in-law Judy Stensrud; grandchildren: Kirk (Michelle) Stensrud, Craig Stensrud (Jessica Kronlund), Alyssa Lackhan and Brendin Lackhan, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Margaret was predeceased by her sons Arnold and Kenneth, sister Helen Beynon and brother Gordon MacMurchy. Margaret was born in Semans on November 13, 1916. She attended Normal and taught in a number of schools in Saskatchewan including Crooked River where she met and married her husband of 63 years. Throughout their life together they especially enjoyed camping, their cottage on Long Lake and their travels through Europe, USA and the Caribbean. Margaret enjoyed visits with her family and friends, gardening, travelling, needlepoint, reading and doing her crosswords. She was especially proud of her grandchildren. As per Margarets wishes, a private family interment will be held in Riverside Memorial Park. Friends and family so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, P.O.
