Obituary of Julien George Bureau

BUREAU, Julien George (Duffy), born November 11, 1930 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2010 with his family by his side. Julien is predeceased by his wife Doreen; son Franck; parents Franck and Henrietta; and sister Peggy. Julien leaves to mourn his passing, his daughters Leslie and Bonita (Gerry Cairns); son Tracey (Tamara); grandchildren Michael, Rick, Stephanie, Randi, Kandyce and Dustin. Dad worked in the auto body business for over 40 years and his automotive mechanical knowledge was second to none. He could fix anything. Dad had a passion for hockey and played the game well into his sixties until he sustained an eye injury while on the ice. While Dad did not own a farm, he spent many a vacation seeding and harvesting for several farmers around the Regina area. Dad was famous for saying Two Wrongs Dont Make a Right? and It Doesnt Cost Anything to Be Nice? which are certainly statements we continue to live by. Dad had a very quick wit and an endless sense of humour which will certainly be missed. Dad, until we meet again The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home for the exceptional care they provided over the past several years and to the staff and doctors at the Intensive Care Unit, Pasqua Hospital for their care and compassion during Dads final days. Respecting Dads wishes, there will be no formal funeral service, however a private family gathering to celebrate Dads life will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home Inc., 4215 Regina Avenue, Regina, SK, S4S 0J5 in support of volunteer activities for all residents. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.speersfuneralchapel.com
