Obituary of Anne Ferguson

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Anne passed away peacefully at the age of 95. Anne was the proud mother and survived by one son, Jim Rudd (Monnie) of Regina, three grand children: Tracy (Kent) Carter, one great-grandchild Cailin Carter; Bryan, and Michelle (Darren Hiibner). She is also survived by three special nieces and nephews, Margaret Marshall of Windsor, ON, Evelyn Gill of Kelowna, BC, Marie Puchalski of Fridley, MN, Joe Kovachs of Calgary, AB, Alfred Tereposky of Kelowna, BC, and Brian Toth of Calgary, AB. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Steve Toth, 11 brothers and sisters, first husband, Eldon Rudd, second husband, Ken Ferguson and her granddaughter, Sandi Rudd. Anne grew up on the family farm in Lestock, SK. Anne graduated from Regina Grey Nuns Hospital in 1937 with a general proficiency medal. Anne continued her entire nursing career in Regina, retiring in 1985 from Wascana Rehab. Anne was a long time member of Rebekah Lodge and Pasqua Hospital Auxiliary, and continued to volunteer following her retirement. She was a long time nurse with the Regina Lions Band (known as the pill lady?). She was an avid Saskatchewan Roughrider fan, holding season tickets since 1953. It was Annes wish to be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at her church,? St. Pauls Cathedral, 1861 McIntyre Street, Regina on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anne Ferguson may be made to the Pasqua Hospital Auxiliary or Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina.
