Obituary of Rosalia Katherine Kuntz

December 14, 1916 July 15, 2010 Rose lived 92 healthy and active years prior to suffering a stroke in January 2009. Through a series of subsequent strokes she lost her independence, mobility and most tragically her speech. Anyone who knew Rose knew how much she loved to visit! In June 2009, she moved from QuAppelle House to Parkside Extendicare where her health continued a steady deterioration until she found eternal peace on July 15, 2010. Rose was born to Raymond (1947) and Caroline (1988) Weimer in Odessa, SK and at the age of 11 moved to Regina where she has resided since. In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her husband, John Wendlin Kuntz (1993); brothers Raymond (1912), Fred (Mary) Weimer (1994); sisters Margarita (1916), Celia (1918), and Magdalina (1929); and son-in-law Captain William Card (1977). She is survived by her daughters Carlotta Card and Annetta Kuntz; granddaughters Jennipher Card, Annika Card (Darren Widenmaier) and Catrina Card (Harry Gousopoulos); sister Anne Malyj; brothers and sisters-in-law Adam (Laura) Kuntz, Betty Archambault and Joe (Ellen) Kelly; plus nieces, nephews and friends particularly Irene Cwynar. She was a true homemaker- baking buns on Fridays; gardening and making preserves; and sewing for her daughters and later her granddaughters. Rose was an active member of Little Flower Parish for over 60 years and particularly enjoyed being part of the Senior Choir for many years. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 23, 2010 at Little Flower R.C. Church, 420 College Ave. With Rev. Barry Anwender presiding. Interment at Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers and donations most gratefully declined.
