Obituary of Carl Arthur Norman Schuette

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother after a long courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, July 22, 2010. His parents Witte and Sylvia Schuette and his infant brother predecease him. Carl will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Mary; son Timothy Schuette (Connie) and daughter Sheila Peters (Darrell) of Regina; five grandchildren Tristan and Kyle Peters, and Shelby, Brayden and Brody Schuette. He is also survived by his sisters Roberta (Clarence) Gessell of Colorado, Margaret (Victor) Hugo of Regina and brother Donald (Barb) of Saskatoon. The family would like to thank Dr. McMillan for always being there for Dad through his journey, Dr. Clein and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Pasqua Hospital and Wascana Grace Hospice for their care and compassion during the past 14 months. Thank you to Dana, Ross and all the Home Care Aides for allowing Dad to stay at home for as long as possible. A very special thank you to Linda B. Dads Palliative Care nurse who not only cared for his needs but those of the family as well, and who was there for Dad at the time of his passing. You are truly a wonderful person. A Service in Memory of Carl will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 in Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Avenue, Regina with Pastor Bob Leeson officiating. Those wishing may make a donation in Carls Memory to Regina Palliative Care Inc., 4F-4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 1A5, or William Booth Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina SK, S4R 8P6.
