Obituary of Leslie Robert Tendler

Leslie (Les), age 83 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 24, 2010 with his family at his side. Les was predeceased by his wife Dorothy; his brother Edward; his parents John and Mary; his in-laws, Joe and Charlotte Berner; sisters-in-law, Joyce Tendler, Mildred Tendler, Irene Klatt; and brother-in-law Wilf Klatt. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Brenda (Mark) White and Michelle (Gordon) Askew; grandchildren, Sean, Tanner, and Breanna White, Christopher and Lucas Askew; brothers, Ernie (Freeda) Tendler and Harold (Lorraine) Tendler; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Pastor Craig Moeller, and the staff at the Pasqua Hospital. Les was a very community minded individual as evidenced in the many groups and organizations he belonged to: Credit Union Central of Saskatchewan, Co-op Security Board, Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corp., Canadian Co-op Society, Credit Union Electronic Transaction Services, Co-op Trust, Co-op Energy, World Council of Credit Unions, Co-op Superannuation Society, Co-operators, PLUS, Wascana Kiwanis Club, Regina United Way, WaWa Shrine Club, Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club, Regina Exhibition Assoc., Group Medical Services, Luther College and Lutheran Seniors Care Home, Canadian Liver Foundation, The Breakfast Club, Tartan Seniors Curling Club, Marian Park Condo Assoc., and the Regina Gyro Club. A Celebration of Les Life will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3510 Queen Street, Regina with Pastor Craig Moeller officiating. Flowers most gratefully declined. You can remember him and only that hes gone, or you can cherish his memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back, or you can do what hed want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
