HAROLD O. BRANDT

Harold passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at the age of 83 years. He was a caring and gentle man and will be dearly missed by all. Harold is survived by his loving wife and partner of 62 years, Theresa Magdalena "Lena"; his three daughters Diane (Abe) Penner and children Kevin and Sharon, Nancy (Carl) Sali and children Joanne, Denise (Jared) and Donna (Kyle), Susan (Wayne) Hall and children David, Jeff (Brittany) and Laura; as well as three great-grandsons Cody, Kyle and Michael. He is also survived by his brother Bernie Brandt; sister Martha Sommerfeld; sister-in-law Bernetha Brandt; and many nieces and nephews. Harold was predeceased by his parents Ottillie and Edmund Brandt; a brother in infancy; brother Edwin; brother-in-law Rev. Oscar Sommerfeld; sister-in-law Elta; mother-in-law Margaretha Brunner; brothers-in-law, Joseph, John, Andrew, Stephen and Henry; and sisters-in-law Anna and Violet. Harold was a watchmaker for over 60 years, devoted to his family, and actively involved with the church and the Good Sams RV Club. He and Lena spent many years travelling across Canada and the USA with their motor home and made many friends along the way. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Bob Leeson officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Thanks to the caring staff at Elmview Extendicare for looking after Harold.
