Obituary of Jacob Raymond Uytterhagen

UYTTERHAGEN " On Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008 Jacob Jake? passed away peacefully with his wife, Marian by his side. Predeceased by his parents, Catherine and Leon Sr. Jake is survived by his loving wife, Marian and his children: Cheryll Meredith (Ross), Randy (Terri), Brad (Colleen) and Kevin (Lana). Also surviving, Janice Hickey (Mike), James Fox (Suzy) and John Fox (Sandra); grandchildren: Luke and Drew Meredith; Jordan (Michelle), Nicole, Sarah and Jerad, Kristopher, Kyle, Hayley, Jacob Uytterhagen and Justine and Mitchell Hickey. Also surviving are siblings, Odaf (Mae), Theresa (Tony) Frischholz, Leon (Ethel), Harold (Marion). Jake was born in Gladmar, Sk and had many fond memories of his childhood growing up on the family farm. As a young family, Jake and Ann (Schmidt) moved to Regina and Jake spent close to 30 years working at the IPSCO steel plant. Upon retirement, Jake and Marian moved to Weyakwin Lake and made their cabin a home, enjoying every day to the fullest. Jake was very active in community activities at the lake, especially the Snowmobile Club. He was always willing to lend a hand or a screwdriver. Jake was always eager to play a game of poker or go fishing with his family. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Peters R. C. Church, 100 Argyle Street, Regina with Rev. J. B. Okai presiding. Interment will be held in Minton, SK at a later date. Donations may be made, in memoriam, to the Minton Chapel Grove Cemetery, Minton, SK S0C 1T0 or Ramsey Bay Snowmobile Club.
