Obituary of Owen William Spence

Owen William Spence September 16, 1961 " December 6. 2008 Every good and perfect gift comes from above.? James 1:17 Owen Spence, our loving and faithful husband, dad, son, brother, and friend, left us suddenly on Saturday, December 6, 2008. With his genuine compassion, soft spoken strength and generous spirit, Owen touched the lives and hearts of all who knew him. Owen will be deeply missed by his wife and best friend, Cathy; the pride of his life, his four children, Tori, Josie, Sara, and Eric; his parents, Betty and Bill Spence of Regina; grandmother, Anne Buzila, of Regina; sisters, Kim Spence of Regina, Holly Spence (Tom Davidson) of Vancouver, Shannon (Dean) Freeman; nieces, Kadie and Chloe of Victoria; brother Graham (Ruth) Spence of Salmon Arm; nieces Anne and Elisabeth; and nephew Liam. His dedication to his family and his example of leadership in business, sports, and the community was an inspiration to all. Owen was born in Estevan, SK and raised in Regina. A private graveside service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park. A Memorial Reception for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK. Flowers gratefully declined.
