Obituary of Harold Raymond Egner

EGNER " It is with sadness that we announce that on Friday, January 9,2009, Harold Raymond Egner passed away peacefully at the age of 40 years. Predeceased by his grandmother, Isabelle Phillips, Harold is survived by his children, Darren and Allishia, his granddaughter Skylee, his father David Egner, his mother Marjorie Calibaba, his brother Barry Egner and his step-father David Calibaba. Harold was a free spirit, an honest and caring person who was known for his warm smile and his quick wit. He loved to make people laugh and had a genuine interest in the welfare of others. Harold was an avid cyclist and in his younger years he cycled to Winnipeg in 22 hours " a tremendous achievement. As a teenager, Harold played hockey and continued to enjoy the sport throughout his life. Harold was self employed, providing general yard maintenance to many loyal customers. Harolds family wish to thank Dr. Ukabam and Dr. Prasad for the excellent care they provided to Harold during his illness. Special thanks to the staff of 6F at the Regina General Hospital for the care and comfort they provided to Harold and the support they gave to his family. Harold was blessed with many close friends who generously gave him support and caring throughout his life " our sincere thanks to all of them. Heartfelt thanks to Denise Swallow and Dave Wiebe of Ehrlo Community Services. They were Harolds dearest friends and treated him like their own family. We will never forget their kindness and their friendship. A celebration of Haroldss life will be held on Wednesday, January 14 at 1:30 p.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina.
