Obituary of Anthony William Kraus
KRAUS, Anthony Tony? William
On Thursday, March 26, 2009, our hearts were broken when our dad, Tony, passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital. Predeceased by his loving wife, Kelly in 2000; parents, Joseph and Julia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Marie, Albert and Margie, Frank and Lil; sisters-in-law, Anna, Vicki, Emma; and brothers-in-law, Stan, Frank and Merv. Tony is survived by his children, Randy (Glenys), Glenda, Susan (Ron), Jane (Ken); eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Elsie and Doreen; sister-in-law, Lil; as well as many nieces and nephews. Dad was born on October 3, 1917. He served in the Airforce and in 1945 married the love of his life, Kelly. They raised their family in QuAppelle and, together with his brother, Frank, owned and operated Kraus Services. In 1990 mom and dad retired to Regina. Our dad was a man of integrity, honesty and decency. He believed in hard work and the value of an education and instilled these values in each of us. He was an optimist, always maintaining a positive attitude. His zest for life was contagious. Time spent with family and friends was precious. We will miss his sense of humour, his unconditional love and his endearing smile. How lucky and blessed we are to have had him in our lives. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Little Flower R. C. Church, 420 College Avenue, Regina with Rev. Bill Mahoney presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made, in memoriam, to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina S4P 3R3. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.speersfuneralchapel.com
