Obituary of David George Kidby

Kidby, David George David George Kidby passed away peacefully, surrounded by his children and grandchildren, on Monday, March 30, 2009. Dave was born September 6, 1935 in Regina, Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his wife Eileen; daughter Cindy; mother Mary; father Charlie;and brothers, Garry and Doug. Dave will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his children, Brenda, Karon (Dean), Rhonda (Tim), Cathy, Judy, David (Janice); his grandchildren, Josh (Lindsay), Simon (Erin), Joey (Judy), Nathan, Ryan, Kindra (Braden), Ben Critter, Jayne, Adam, Sarah, Katie, Dustin, D.J., Taylor and Jenilee; great-grandchildren, Layne, Linden, Rayce and Isabelle; his sister, Marlene (John) Shuba; brothers, Bob (Gayle), Bud (Lil); and extended family of in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. Dave enjoyed curling, fastball, tennis, golf, umping and singing. He enjoyed his summers at Regina Beach with family and friends. Dave worked at Sasktel for over 35 years. He married the love of his life in 1954; their reunion was March 30, 2009. The family would like to thank the staff at the Regina General Hospital 5A and a special thank you to dads night nurse, Christine. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in Rosemont United Church, 5000 " 8th Avenue, Regina with Rev. Dexter Van Dyke officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
