Obituary of John Karl Ell

ELL, John Karl On Monday, April 20, 2009 John Karl Ell passed away at Long Lake Valley Integrated Facility at Imperial, SK at the age of 96 years. Dad was predeceased by his wife of sixty-two years, Margaret (2001); his parents, Karl and Katherina; brother, Henry; sisters, Kathern, Angelina and Mary; John is survived by his daughter, Ardell (Brian) Bartle and their children Sandy (Russ) Stewart and their children Andy, Samantha, Sharlett and Shantel; Lynn (Reg) St. Laurent and their daughters Isabella and Gabrielle; and their son Curtis Bartle and his son Tyler; his sister Amelia Roche; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John farmed all his life. He and Margaret retired in 1980 in the village of Holdfast. He spent his time gardening, puttering in the garage, yard work, trips downtown and feeding the town stray cats in his garage. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, Holdfast with Rev. Neil Osiowy presiding. Interment in Holdfast R.C. Cemetery. Thanks to Dr. Rysbergen and all the staff for the excellent care dad received at LLVIF over the past fifteen months and all the homecare he received while he was in his own home.
