Obituary of Elizabeth Arlt

ELIZABETH BETTY? ARLT 1921 " 2009 On Friday, April 24, 2009, Betty Arlt, late of Regina and formerly of Lanigan, passed away at the age of 87 years. Predeceased by her parents Henry and Katie Laufer; husband Harold; brother Henry Laufer; two granddaughters, Anita Malbeuf and Christie-Lin Arlt; Betty is survived by her children: daughter Marilyn (Eric) Nurse and their children: Barbara (Brian) Grahn (Kelsey, Kayley and Jennifer) and Byron (Lisa) Nurse (Braedyn) all of Edmonton, daughter Carolyn Malbeuf and her children: Elvis (Lisa) Malbeuf (McKenzie and Savannah) and Roberta Malbeuf (Jasmine) all of Regina, son Keith Arlt and his children: Jennifer (Landry) Veitch (Makenize and Ireland), April (Ryan Dalnea) Arlt (Kianna), Katelyn, Vernon Longman, and Joshua all of Saskatoon, and son Randal (Colleen) Arlt and their children: Colin and Brittany, all of Regina, brother Carl Laufer of Chilliwack; as well as nieces and nephews. Betty was born on November 17, 1921 in Budapest, Hungary. She grew up in Regina where she met and married Harold, a farmer from Jansen SK. They eventually moved to Lanigan in 1964, where they owned and operated the Robinson Store until her retirement where she was able to pursue her love and interest in gardening. Betty was always active in her church. Following the death of Harold in 2006, Betty moved back to Regina. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1909 Ottawa Street, Regina SK with Pastor Lindsay Hognestad officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 12:00 " 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lanigan, SK, followed by interment at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Lanigan.
