Obituary of William Ermel

William Ermel "Willie" of Cupar, SK born on December 3, 1925 has gone to be with his Lord on April 28, 2009. He leaves to mourn his wife of fifty-eight years, Irene; his son Ross, daughter-in-law Angie, grandsons, Justin and Christopher, step-grandsons, Jordy and Riley; brothers: Rudy (Edna), Philip (Carol), Reinhold (Anne), Walter (Helen), Elmer (Ruth), Gerald (Lucille); sisters: Eleanor (Edward), Minnie (Wilfred), Linda (James); as well as many other relatives, friends and neighbours. Willie is predeceased by his father Louis Ermel; his mother Caroline (Gebhardt) Ermel; sisters Mary; brothers, Henry and John; and daughter-in-law Lisa. William Ermel farmed for fifty years. He worked part-time at the Muskovitch General Store, and later, during slack farm periods, he did carpentry. He belonged to the Cupar Fire Brigade for seventeen years. He was an active member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Cupar. Willie enjoyed farming, gardening, traveling, playing ball, curling, and watching hockey. May he rest in Peace of the Lord and may the hope of the Risen Christ sustain all who mourn his passing. Funeral Service will be held at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Cupar, SK at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 2, 2009 with Pastor L. Dennis officiating.
