Obituary of Catharine Mary Edison

CATHARINE MARY EDISON (nee Karchewski) Catharine, born March 20, 1960, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 13, 2012 in Grande Prairie, Alberta. She was predeceased by her parents Barb and Thadeus Karchewski. Catharine will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband and best friend Terry Edison; his parents Kevin and Loretta; his sister Treina; Catharines eight siblings: Joan (Ron) Moroz and daughter Stephanie, John Karchewski, and children Christine (Dave), Amanda, Chantal and Cody, Tom (Janet) Karchewski and daughters Megan and Kailee, Ruth (Shaun) Welter and children Andrea and Jarvis, Wayne (Pam) Karchewski and sons Brett and Chase, Allan Karchewski, Donna (Brian) Zaba and sons Mitchell, Andrew, Tyler (Christina) and children Ashton and Brooklyn, Paula (Dwayne) Leonard and children Bailey, MacKenzie and Randi; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Catharine loved family and friends, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, camping and laughter. She was an avid crafter and diehard shopper. Catharine volunteered in many areas, the last being the cancer clinic in Grande Prairie, was always giving of herself and put others needs ahead of her own. Against unimaginable odds, the strength, courage, determination and outright stubbornness Catherine displayed throughout her eight year battle with cancer was an inspiration to all who knew her. Throughout her life, she maintained a wonderful sense of humour, even in the toughest of days. A Funeral Mass and Celebration of her Life will take place at Holy Family R.C. Church, 1021 McCarthy Blvd. North, Regina, SK on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memoriam may be made to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 29th Street NW, Calgary, AB, T2N 4N2.
