Dietrich, Kurt Friedrich On May 13, 2009 Kurt passed away at the Pasqua Hospital at the age of 79. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Eunice; his five children and thirteen grandchildren; Emily (Doug), Kyle, Todd, and Mark Drever; Marlene (Charles), Brad, Derek, Lindsey and Thomas Russell; Bill Dietrich; Julie (Stacy), Allie, Grant, Laura and Heidi Atter; Kurt, Spencer and Sam Dietrich, (Monica OBrien and her daughter, Simone); plus his brother Hans (Klara) in Germany. Kurt was born in Ludwigshafen, Germany on January 23, 1930 and emigrated to Canada in 1952. He became a journeyman carpenter/contractor specializing in cupboards and renovations. He was known throughout the Cathedral area as the man who walked everywhere, gave out gum and candies and spent his afternoons drinking coffee and smoking cigars at the bagel shop. Big Poppa? always believed in the goodness of people. He often said, Ive had a good life, things will be okay, be good kids and take care of your mother.? We will miss him so much. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Cathedral, 3125 " 13th Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of ones choice.
