Obituary of Charlotte Elizabeth Drummond

CHARLOTTE ELIZABETH DRUMMOND MAY 28, 1924 " JULY 3, 2007 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Charlotte. She was predeceased by her parents, Preston and Jane Rollins. She is survived by her husband, Jack; her children, Joanne, Gary and Maureen; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Charlotte was born in Penzance, SK, graduated from high school there and went on to Regina College, followed by a business course in Winnipeg. With her best friend, Priscilla Champagne, she moved to Montreal and worked the war years at the CPR Accounting Department, Windsor Station, Montreal, PQ. At wars end, Jack returned after five years overseas and he and Charlotte were married soon after on December 29, 1945 and lived happily together for over 61 years. Charlotte lived her life with a positive attitude, dignity, respect and a unique sense of humour. A special thanks to her nurses, home care workers, Dr. Morris and Dr. Brydon. They, along with her devoted husband and family provided her with comfort and care over the past three years. A private family service, conducted by Pastor Lois Munholland will be held. Friends and acquaintances of Charlotte and her family are invited to honour the life and cherish the memories of Charlotte at The Hotel Saskatchewan, Blue Lounge, 2125 Victoria Avenue, 12:00 noon Thursday, July 5, 2007.
