PASTERFIELD - On Friday July 13th, The Reverend Dunstan Patrick Pasterfield died at the age of 90. Dunstan is survived by his wife Veronica; Chris -Karen (Nicki, Ryan, Tanner and Grady Hoffman; Andy and Geoff); Susan -James Rollins (Mark, Simon and Tallis); Sally Orr (Courtney); Marty - Marnie (Ryan, Rainey and Olivia Benson; James, Kristie, Zak, Taylor, and Aiden Benson; Jordan Benson; Jake, Tom, and Matt); Clare Pasterfield -Richard Ouellette (Jillian and Blake); and numerous nephews and neices in England. He was born in Bethune and grew up in Craik, Watrous, Kamsack and Outlook. During WWII, he joined the Indian Army reaching the rank of Major. He trained Sikh, Muslim and Hindu recruits for the 15th Punjab Regiment. He was ordained a priest in 1951 in England and moved back to Canada. The Parishes of Shaunavon, Estevan, St. Mary's Regina, and Team Ministry of St. Michael's and All Angels, Church of the Good Shepherd and Transfiguration of our Lord - Calgary called and, upon retirement, he and Veronica moved back to his beloved Saskatchewan. He continued his study of the nature of the prairies and astronomy - with a special interest in deep sky observing. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, July 20th at St. Mary's Anglican Church - 15th Ave. and Montague St. Flowers gratefully declined.
