Obituary of Jean Barclay Christie

CHRISTIE " On Thursday, August 2, 2007, Jean Barclay Christie passed away at the age of 92 years. Predeceased by her parents, William and Jane; step-father, John Scott; two sisters, Betsy Christie and Ruth Shropshire; one brother, John Scott. Jean is survived by two nieces, Maxine Cannon of Moose Jaw, Jane (Ron) Crumly of Regina; sister-in-law Kin Scott of Regina; as well as several great-nieces and nephews. Jean was born on February 13, 1915 in Port Arthur, ON. In 1917 she and her family moved to Keystown, SK. She attended school in the area then attended business college in Regina. She started working at Sears in Regina then worked at Revenue Canada until her retirement. She enjoyed bowling, was a member of Wascana Country Club and was a fan of the Regina Pats and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in Regina Cemetery, Broad Street and 4th Avenue with Rev. S. Alan Schooley officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in memoriam, to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 917 Albert Street, Regina, SK S4R 2P6.
