Obituary of Fernand Adrien Bourret

FERNAND BOURRET On August 18, 2012 Fernand Adrien Bourret passed away at the age of 90. He is predeceased by his wife Kathleen (2007); brothers Charlie, Guy, Ovide, Paul; sisters Claire and Rose. Fern is survived by daughter Eileen (Morrie) and children Michael, Daniel, David; son Roger (Holly) and children Lee, Michelle (Jeff), Michael (Mardy), Simon (Lyndsay); son Patrick (Debbie) and children Dawn (Steve), Lisa (Rob), Andrea (Kyle); son Michael (Lavonne) and children Lindsay, Jeffrey, Kyle; daughter Marie (Andy) and children Devin, Meagan, Lauren; great grandchildren Keigan, Illyana, Emma, Madison, Aiden, Tyler, Royan, Camden, Jaida, McKenna, Blakely, Myla, Leighton and Holden. Fern is also survived by brother Lucien (Mickey) and sisters Angie and Alice. Fern was born in Lebret, Saskatchewan on July 12, 1922. After marrying Kathleen in 1949, his job with Massey Ferguson took them to Lille, France where they lived for four years. A transfer in 1953 took the family to Moncton, New Brunswick. In 1959 another transfer took them to Regina, Saskatchewan. In 1985 he retired from Massey after 43 years. He enjoyed travelling Saskatchewan and visits to Lebret and their cottage at Como Park (Katepwa). He liked to stay in touch with his brothers and sisters, which usually led to lively debates. Being well read he could discuss most topics. In his later years, our father was very fortunate to receive excellent care and attention from the staff at the Renaissance Retirement Home, his doctors, home care, Pasqua Hospital and William Booth Grace Hospice. A Service to Celebrate Ferns life will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK.
