Obituary of Karen Wendy Idema

IDEMA " On Wednesday, August 15, 2007 Karen Wendy Idema, late of Kinookimaw, passed away. Predeceased by a daughter in infancy, Sherry Rae; her mother Dorothy Rae. Karen is survived by her husband, Andy; daughter, Laurie (Derek) Idema-Wood and grandson, Kaden; son, Chad (Vanessa) Idema and grandson, Gage; her father, Leonard Rae; sister, Tracy (Trevor) Johnston. Karen was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She loved living at the lake. She especially enjoyed hiking in the surrounding Kinookimaw area. In her search for new paths to discover she has found the ultimate trail. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at the Pasqua Hospital, Allan Blair Cancer Clinic and the Palliative Care Unit for their commitment and compassion to Karen and her family. They would also like to thank their family, friends and neighbours for their help and support during Karens illness. At Karens request there will be no funeral service. A private graveside service for immediate family only will take place at Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined.
