Obituary of Mary Magdalena Schatz

SCHATZ " It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Wednesday, August 15, 2007. Mary Magdalena Schatz (nee Wasser) passed away at the age of 91 years. Predeceased by her husband, John; two sons-in-law, Don Krentz and Ron Knapik; two brothers, John and Ralph. Mary is survived by her daughter, Diane Knapik; two step-granddaughters, Lenore Ermel, Karen Gibson and their families; son, Mike (Eileen); her two grandchildren, Carla Schatz and Chad (Shannon) Schatz; three great-grandchildren, Sarah, Ashley and Brady; two sisters, Clementine Ripplinger and Lydia Selinger; one brother, Martin (Phyllis) Wasser; sister-in-law, Barbara Schatz. Mom was a kind and loving person who was always more than happy to help anyone in any way. There wasnt anything she couldnt do. We greatly appreciated the homemade quilts and afghans that she made for us. She used her sewing talent many times to come to our aid. Thank you, Mom. We love you; rest in peace. The family wishes to thank the staff at Parkside Extendicare for the wonderful care Mary received during her stay there. A special thanks goes out to her great-niece Connie Jeworski who was her angel at Parkside Extendicare. Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, August 20, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Cathedral, 3125 " 13th Avenue, Regina with Rev. Brian Meredith presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
