Obituary of Sophie Elizabeth Hoce

HOCE " Sophie Elizabeth (nee Leskun), late of Regina, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully with her loving husband of sixty-one years by her side on Saturday, September 15, 2007, at the age of 85 years. She was predeceased by her parents Julia and Charles Leskun and her brothers, Walter, Joseph, John, Edward, Stanley, Andrew and Harold. Sophie will be sadly missed and cherished by her loving husband Sandy (Alexander); daughters, Roberta (Don) Harle, Jacqueline (Ron) Harle and Donna (Terry) Kozak; grandchildren, Kelly (Michelle), Corinne (Ryan), Brent (Danielle), Alexandra (Keith), Colin, Nicole (Jeff) and Erin (Devin); and great granddaughter Olivia. She is also survived by sisters, Frances Geis and Helen Leskun; brothers, Frank, William and Donald (Nancy); sisters-in-law, Yvonne, Ann and Terry; as well as several nieces and nephews. Sophies first love was her family and she was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the caring staff of 3B at the Pasqua Hospital. Prayers will be held Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. The Funeral Mass of Sophie will be celebrated on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Family R.C. Church, 1021 McCarthy Blvd. N., Regina, with Rev. Brad Fahlman presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers most gratefully declined.
