Obituary of Leo William Kobayashi

KOBAYASHI - Leo William Koby passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 16th, 2007 at the age of 78. Leo was predeceased by his parents Kinjiro and Take Kobayashi as well as his sister and brother-in-law Irene and Jun Fujita. He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers George and Harry Kobayashi as well as his nieces and nephews who meant the world to him. Uncle Leo will be forever cherished by his greatest-admirers, Dawn Kobayashi (Rod, Bowen and Kennedy Pisula), Paul Kobayashi (Melissa Pollock, Hailey and Kayla), Cindy Kobayashi (Shaun Belt), Laura Kobayashi and Michael Kobayashi. After graduating from Balfour Tech, Leo worked at SaskPower before becoming a Commercial Artist. He enjoyed his career as a talented artist and retired after working 17 years for the Department of Natural Resources. Leo was passionate about sports and was well known for his many years of coaching minor football, minor hockey and the Regina Red Sox. He also loved watching his nieces and nephews play several sports and was an avid Rider fan who never missed a game. Please join us in a celebration of Leos life on Friday, September 21st at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. Lunch will be served afterwards, followed by a private family interment. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Regina Red Sox, 2748 Corbett Road, Regina, SK S4R 8L6, Regina Minor Football, P.O. Box 932, Regina, SK S4P 3B1 or a charity of ones choice.
