Obituary of Anna Viola Abbott

ABBOTT " On Friday, September 28, 2007, Anna Abbott (nee Trieber) of Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home, Regina, passed away at the age of 99 years. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 22, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home Chapel, 4215 Regina Avenue, Regina with Rev. Msgr. Ken Miller presiding. Interment to follow later at Robsart Cemetery. Mourning her loss are her son Charles (Darlene), Calgary; daughter Barbara (Maurice) Rieder, Regina; daughter-in-law Mary Jean Abbott, Vancouver; grandchildren, Kandice Julie Ann and Andrew Abbott, Vancouver, Heather Demish, Darrell (Monica) Abbott, Calgary, Brian Rieder, Leonard (Roxanne Roth) Rieder, Warren (Vivian) Rieder, Regina, Maureen Rieder, Vancouver; great grandchildren, Samantha and Brandon Demish, Calgary, Noah and Aurora Rieder, Bret Rieder, all of Regina. Also surviving are her nephew Len (Doreen) Trieber, Moose Jaw and niece Dorothy (John) Croxford, Trenton, ON; brother-in-law Phillip (Edna) Abbott, Newbury, ON; sister-in-law Myrtle Abbott, Chatham, ON. Anna was predeceased by her husband George; son George; parents Michael and Anice Trieber; twin brother Charles, brothers, Anthon and Raymond; and sisters, Cecilia and Fern. Many thanks and appreciation to the staff at Santa Maria for her excellent care during the last two years. George and Anna operated a general store in Robsart for many years. On the passing of her husband in 1973, Anna moved to Maple Creek. She leaves many friends in South West Saskatchewan to mourn her loss. In 1990 due to eye sight problems she moved to Regina, to be close to her daughter and family. We all love you and miss you so much.
