Obituary of Gino Galassi

GALASSI, Gino, who was born May 7, 1929 in Faete, Italy, died September 30, 2007. Predeceased by his parents; his wife Lina; three brothers and one sister. He is survived by three daughters, Rita (Lyle) of Shaunavon, SK, Anna, and Sandra (Norm) and their two children, Anthony and Kaylina of Niagara Falls, ON; two sisters in Rome; one sister-in-law in Faete, Italy and another in Regina; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gino was a very hard worker but still loved to enjoy life. He worked for the City of Regina for 35 years. He had a great love for gardening. He did his very best to raise his daughters and was always there with a helping hand to anyone who needed it. When Gino finally retired he didnt take it sitting down, he went on many adventures. Traveling and his love for music and dance came out. He went to as many single dances as he could find. He was always a man who strongly believed in God. Gino will be deeply missed. There will be a Memorial Service on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. in Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, 2049 Scarth Street, Regina with Rev. Emmett Morrissey presiding.
