Obituary of Stanley Joseph Smith

Stanley Joseph Smith’s life began March 19, 1933 in Regina, Saskatchewan to parents Mary and Walter. Stanley was the 6th child, his siblings Dennis, George, Clara, Marie, Roy, Leona and Ray. In his teens Stanley left Regina and headed for Toronto where he drove a truck for Canada Cartage and Simpson Sears. In the 60’s Stanley met Grace and her young son Greg, fell in love, married and had four children, Darryl, Melody, Tammy and Velvet. Stanley then ventured into his business Ball Air Injections which brought him back to Regina in the early eighties. He bought a garage, and nose to the ground for his business. Once again Stanley was hit by the love bug, he met Fleurette and daughter Wanda, married and had one child Christelle. With Fleurette’s encouragement he found his love for Jesus he never waivered his commitment and loyalty to the Lord. It just grew stronger. Stanley loved his Lord, music, hockey, his hair, children, grandchildren; Krystal, Taylor, Armel, Hailey and Easton, his mom and dad, brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces, not in any particular order. Anyone who met Stanley along the way knows what a special and unique man he was so no explanation needed. Unfortunately illness struck him. He fought a good fight, but now he suffers no more. He has gone home peacefully. From all your children and grandchildren, watch over us and guide us through life as you always have. We will hear and feel you because you took the time to create a bond with each one of us. Thank you for that. We will miss you and we will always love you. Father, Dad, Best Friend, Grandpa and Papa, rest in peace. Memorial Service will be held at Avonhurst Pentecostal Assembly, 3200 Avonhurst Drive, Regina, SK on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memoriam, may be made to the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK, S4R 8P6 or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK, S4P 1R3.
