Obituary of Sally Joanne Heeren

HEEREN - Sally (Williamson) Heeren, educator and teacher for 30 years, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2007 surrounded by family and friends. Born February 23, 1943 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, she came to Canada in 1968 and subsequently became a Canadian citizen. She taught English as a Second Language to adult immigrants, served on the board of the Regina Open Door Society and was a member of the Scenes Executive. She was greatly loved by her students for her lively teaching style. She had wide and varied interests, and was very passionate about politics. Shes survived by her daughter Jessica Heeren of Montreal, her father Clyde Williamson of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, her sister Sue Williamson of Ojai, CA, and her former husband Steve Heeren of Vernon, BC. A memorial gathering will be held Tuesday October 30th. Contact family for information.
