Obituary of Mary Vera Patricia Adams

ADAMS " Vera, late of Kennedy Manor, Regina, passed away on Friday, November 16,2007. Born December 11, 1922 at Stoughton, SK, she was predeceased by her parents Marshall and Mary Adams; her sisters Myrtle Field, Nellie Adams, Margaret Gilchrist, Kathleen Webb; brothers Robert, James and Joseph. Vera is survived by her sister Nora Skce; and sister-in-law Eleanor Adams, both of Stoughton; cousin Berniece Hrappstead of Swan River, MB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Vera was raised on a farm, received her education in the Stoughton area and subsequently served in the Canadian Womens Army Corp in Canada and the Netherlands. Following World War II she took secretarial training in Regina and then worked at the Department of Health until retiring in 1982. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue with a reception to follow. Interment will take place on Monday, December 3, 2007 at the Stoughton Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.
