Obituary of Armour Loftus Nicol

NICOL, Armour Loftus was born on July 1, 1935 in Grenfell, SK. and passed away November 16, 2007 in Regina, SK. after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was predeceased by his loving wife Jean (Haylock) on November 12, 1996, his parents Archie and Sadie, and a brother Harry. Left to cherish his memory are his sons Brent (Jenny), Trevor (Kimberley), and Todd (Jane); seven special grandchildren Bailey, Cody, Caelan, Delaney, Alex, Danielle, and Spenser; brother Lindsay; sisters Marjorie, and Sheila (Lynn); and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. He enjoyed a career of over 30 years with the Regina Public School system. He taught at several schools and was a principal at Dr. George Ferguson, Judge Bryant, and McLurg. Armour truly loved his job, his colleagues and especially the young people whose paths he crossed. The highlights of Armours life were many and centred on family and friends. He will forever be remembered for his quick wit, honesty and his generous character. A celebration of Armours life will be held Thursday, November 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Sunset United Church, 177 Sunset Drive. Special thanks to Dr. Bradel for her amazing care and compassion.
